Owners representative and
Incident Recovery
Chris McGuire attended a vessel, on behalf of owners, whose anchor had ruptured a gas pipeline. Chris managed the initial investigation and incident assessment on behalf of owners. This included managing P & I correspondent, lawyers, classifications society, pipeline owners and anchor recovery team. The second phase of recovery was also managed by Chris, which included transporting anchors, contracting of shipyards and attendance of class and flag. During these two phases Chris also assisted investigations by Australian authorities, Victorian authorities and conducted the intial internal investigation himself.
Case Study
Passenger Port Call Operations
McGuire Consulting has managed many port calls, including passenger ships with 100 plus passengers undertaking Antarctic voyages. Port call management included assignment of agents, bunker ordering, contractor management, victualling and passenger movements on behalf of owners.
